We're not giving up!

Hey,

This is Ran, Sarn’s son and unacknowledged sidekick from the Curse Breaker series, I’m back with good news.

What’s the good news?

I wish I could say our project funded, but it’s not yet. We’re close though. We just need $123 in pledges to meet our goal.

If you missed my last email, the project funded then dropped back to not funded when some pledges dropped. It's a tough time of year, so we understand. Everyone has to do what's right for their wallet. I'm grateful for the 17 backers that pledged their support for this project. 

But it's not over yet. 

There are still 11 days left, and we'll fight tooth and nail to get this project funded. So we’re unleashing our first weapon—I mean backer perk. Papa doesn’t let me handle weapons except for my slingshot, and I think he only lets me keep that because he forgot I have it. So please don’t remind him!

Okay back to our perk.

If we reach our funding goal before the campaign ends, everyone who backs the project for any tier will get an ebook copy of When Worlds Collide in addition to the items in the tier they back.

When World Collide is a fun story starring me! Papa is there too because he doesn’t let me go anywhere without him. So what are we doing in this short story? We invade my Scribe’s office during a meeting.

Do we save her from it? You’ll have to read the story to find out.

If we hit $1000, everyone will get an ebook of Sealed In Blood too in addition to the items in the tier they back. Sealed In Blood is a novella Melinda wrote for a dark fantasy anthology about dragons versus vampires that never happened.  Then she forgot about the novella and never published it.

Sealed In Blood is about 15,000 words long, and it goes straight for the jugular. What's it about?

Virinda was his prey. Now, she's a bloodthirsty predator with teeth and a vendetta: kill the half-demon dragon-shifter who infected her. Only then can she rest in peace. But there's one potentially huge catch, and Virinda's hell-bent on getting around it. 

(This novella takes place in the same world as the Curse Breaker series, and it's as dark as Curse Breaker Sundered.)

So those are the perks. We hope they are attractive enough to bring on a few more supporters to help our project fund.

There were a few questions on Kickstarter that I also want to answer here in case someone had the same question.

I’m just kidding. That wasn’t the question. But I know you’re wondering, so I’ll answer it anyway. You’ll be happy to hear I am not in trouble today!

How’s that possible? I know you’re wondering that too.

Well, it’s only been 3 days since our last email, and that’s not nearly enough time for me to find some trouble and dive into it.

But I have a whole week until I see you again, unless something happens with our kickstarter campaign, and then you’ll see me sooner. That should give me plenty of time to get into lots of trouble, so I can tell you all about it!

So what was the question?

Oh, right, I digressed again. A kind backer asked if we could get friends and family to back, so we fund. (They really want the books.)

Melinda has called and texted everyone she knows to tell them about our project on Kickstarter. We are where we now because of them and readers like you. Hopefully, we’ll make our goal.

The campaign ends on Oct. 14 at 10:56 AM EST.

We found out after we launched that we could have set that to a different time. But we didn’t know that when we hit the launch button.

And now it’s time for a book update.

Rogue Gods: Summon the Gods is moving along nicely. The first 14 chapters are posted on Patreon and Ream for your reading pleasure. It should hit the 50% mark in another week or two. So that’s exciting.
