New Adventures Coming Your Way Soon!
Hi there,
It’s been a wild week. Don’t worry. We don’t talk about politics here, and we’re not going to do that today either. I just wanted to acknowledge that it’s been one heck of a week.
If you’re feeling blue or disenfranchised, go on an adventure with us!
We promise to transport you to a world of enchanted trees and magical microbes that group together so they can talk to you, sometimes. We also have dragons and talking trees. Did I mention that?
This is Ran, Sarn’s son from the Curse Breaker series as usual and I have the bestest news, books news!
First off, Storm the Gates, book 3 of the Rogue Gods Trilogy publishes tomorrow, Nov. 12! You can now read the whole trilogy in Kindle Unlimited but only for a limited time. So borrow it now.
The trilogy will be widely available sometime in 2025. We’re not sure when because there’s a thing we wanted to participate in to raise money for charity at the end of the year, and we needed the trilogy in Kindle Unlimited for it. Details to come when we have them.
And now for the biggest book news of all!
Melinda wanted to wait to announce this until all the characters agreed. But with everything going on right now, I told her that our fans need some good news. We can’t gatekeep this.
What’s this awesome book news?
We the characters are embarking on a brand new crossover adventure that will span 4 books!!!!
(We’ll do this after we finish Chasing Dragons. So you’ll get that book while we rush off to tackle this new adventure.)
Now some details aren’t nailed down yet because you know how much we hate outlines and following directions, and that’s why Melinda wanted to hold this news back until those details were a bit more ironed out. But you need some good news and this is the bestest news we can offer.
So what do we know about these 4 books?
Before I tell you that, may I introduce you to the Riders of the Apocalypse trilogy?
It will actually span 4 books instead of 3, but math is not our strong suit, clearly. And you’ll forgive us for that since you get 4x more action and adventure!
What books will be included in that story arc/trilogy?
Chaos Rises (formerly His Angelic Keeper book 5 but it’s now book 1 in Riders of the Apocalypse Trilogy, and that’s totally not confusing, right?)
Chaos Reigns* (formerly book 6 of the His Angelic Keeper series, but it’s now book 2 of the Riders of the Apocalypse series.)
Curse Breaker Jousts (book 12 of the Curse Breaker series and kind of sort off also book 3 in the Riders of the Apocalypse series.)
Chaos in Chains* (formerly book 7 of the His Angelic Keeper series but it’s now book 4 of the Riders of the Apocalypse series.)
(*Two book titles are hotly contested by the characters that star in them, so they could change. Or they might not change. That could happen too.)
Are you excited?
As the title of the trilogy suggests, Auntie Sovvan will finally hunt down the remaining 6 wraths and hopefully imprison them somehow to permanently stop the apocalypse. The opposite could also happen, but I’d rather think positively and manifest the future I want to see. I don’t know about you, but I’m really curious about how one can catch a wrath and imprison it.
How does that work? Is it different for each wrath since they all have different powers and personalities?
I want to know, and I hope you’ll come on this adventure with us to find out.
Fay and her family of dragon-shifters, phoenixes, and fates will return to help my aunt because she needs all the help she can get. Let’s be honest here.
But we also need to see her go before the council of angels, meet her new archangel boss, and discover what exactly being the new angel of death means. Plus, the previous angel of death might have a bone to pick too.
And I’ll help too as often as Papa lets me.
Why are we involved? Because the second wrath released in His Angelic Keeper Tempted possessed Queen Shayari. I think that happened in Curse Breaker Fallout. So we have to sort that out, obviously. We can’t let that situation continue.
Chasing Dragons sets up quite the clash in Curse Breaker Jousts. So we’ll have our work cur out for us. But none of us know she’s possessed. So interesting times are ahead for your favorite father-son duo.
That’s also why Curse Breaker Jousts will likely take place during the third book in the trilogy. At least that’s what we think so far.
Chaos Rises will tie into the Rogue Gods Trilogy somehow because the 6th wrath was released from its demonic host during the last half of Storm the Gates, book 3 of the Rogue Gods Trilogy.
And would you look at that? Storm the Gates comes out tomorrow. So if you didn’t grab a copy during the kickstarter, now’s your chance! It’s almost like we planned this announcement.
But actually we didn’t. We were just talking a lot about the Riders of the Apocalypse since it’s the next thing the scribe will write when she finishes Chasing Dragons. So we kind of have to talk about it even though we hate plans and outlines are more like guidelines, not something we actually have follow. And I think I digressed again.
Some of the immortal characters from the Rogue Gods series could show up in the Riders of the Apocalypse Trilogy. But only if they want to jump into another epic struggle so soon after their last one. We shall see what they want to do.
So if you’ve been putting off reading the His Angelic Keeper series, now is an awesome time to read those books, so you’re all caught up. All the wraths are released in His Angelic Keeper Tempted. So if you want to reread that one to bone up on who became each one, that’s the book you need to read.
When will this trilogy + 1 book come out? We hope it’ll be done and edited in time to come out in 2025, but that requires us characters to cooperate, and we don’t have a great track record of doing that. So we’ll just keep you posted.
That’s all we know right now. More details to come as Melinda starts writing this grand adventure!
We have not received the new proofs yet for the upcoming Robin of Larkspur kickstarter, so we’re just waiting anxiously to see how they turn out. Will the edges actually be red this time? We’ll find out soon we hope!
Catch the Scribe will return for the holidays because we love to entertain you, and we already know what we’ll do in the sequel.
So have a great week, and we’ll see you next week for more fun and adventure!
