Ran, please let your scribe know that I'm sorry she had a tough week. I mean, I'm glad she has a job, as I'm sure she's glad as well. The farewelling, though, sounds difficult to have gotten through emotionally, even though relationally all the preparation and participation was laudable. The part about AI requesting an outline is funny in the wry-est way. I've been thinking about the fact that you and other characters tend to wreck your scribe's plans by going another way. But I'm afraid, creatively, that does sound all too real. I even find the poems I write going their own way. The irascible aspect of text, though I guess it keeps things both human and artistic.

I just can't give up all my plans because sometimes the stories I write need a plan even if the characters choose to ignore it. At least they have something they can fall back on after I save them for the 87th time. I hope you stay cool in the coming heat wave and that your writing is going well.
