The darkness faded as a man said, “We have to go now.”

“Who said that?” Melinda rubbed her eyes then remembered she wasn’t supposed to do that. The eye doctor that diagnosed her dry eye syndrome said that was the worst thing to do. But sometimes, she needed to rub her eyes. Unfortunately, rubbing them did nothing to lift the darkness.
